PB Flax Porridge with Cashew Cream!

I just made this, and I just smashed this. Not sure if its dessert or breakfast but I had it for dinner! I threw in some blackberries for a little sweetness in the porridge which I knew would be very savory and a little plain without any sugar added. I would still recommend no sugar added, fruit is a healthier and tastier way to sweeten things up if you ask me.

It was a rough and loose creation tonight so these ingredient measurements might need to be adjusted as you prefer for taste.

Makes one serving


  • 3 tbsp Ground Flax seed
  • 2/3 cup Cashew Cream (homemade is best!)
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp Peanut Butter (homemade or natural peanut butter is best!)
  • Blackberries to taste (I used 9)

In a small or medium bowl add cashew cream, mix in ground flax seed and salt.  Microwave for 1 minute (or cook over low heat on a stovetop in a small pot until porridge thickens 2-3 minutes). Once porridge comes together (it will be sticky and almost dough like) add peanut butter. Mix peanut butter well, add blackberries on top or mix in. Ta-Da! Enjoy!

*It’s totally fine to add another spoonful of Peanut Butter or even a teaspoon of sugar or honey to sweeten further
